St Davids Day Concert Welsh Male Choir South Africa
The Welsh Male Voice Choir of South Africa, known in Welsh as Côr Meibion Cymru de Affrig, consists of amateur choristers led by a professional music team. We pride ourselves on offering a quality and entertaining cross-section of songs, including songs in the Welsh choral tradition. Each year St David's Day is celebrated on 1st March to mark the day St David died in 589 AD. His remains are buried at St David’s Cathedral and his shrine became a place of pilgrimage in the Middle Ages. Along with other Welsh Choirs around the world, we celebrate with a prestige concert as close to 1st March as possible - which will be Saturday 4th March 2023.
