Church Tithing - Giving - Donation Opportunities
How should I give to the church?
Is money really important to God?
Thousands of verses of Scripture talk directly or indirectly about money and possessions and how God’s people should use them. The sheer enormity of the Bible’s teaching on the subject screams for our attention.
Why did Jesus say more about how we are to view and handle money and possessions than about any other topic – including both Heaven and Hell, and prayer and faith?
God wants us to recognise the powerful relationship between our true spiritual condition and our attitude and actions concerning money and possessions.
Are we faithful in how we steward what God gives us?
Here at newDAY we emphasise financial giving in various forms.
God’s people faithfully brought in the contributions, tithes and dedicated gifts.
2 Chronicles 31:12
What comes first?
Firstly, your tithes and offerings then as you are led to:
- Alms giving for the poor
- The building fund
- Apostolic giving (our mandate to the nations)
“Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also”

WAYS to GIVE
Tithing is your very first "Ways to Give". This biblical practice of "bringing in to the storehouse" a tenth of your income is still very much in use today.
Watch Greig teach on Finances & Giving and why it's important for all Christians:
Here are all the ways you can deposit your tithes and offerings into the newDAY Church bank accounts:
Building places to house the Church's activities for all aspects of Kingdom Life is important - from worship to learning spaces, from renovation to maintenance, it all costs money. We have been very blessed with YOUR generosity. Currently we are renovating newDAY kids Children's Church, and adding new spaces to the Church Offices, and for that we are asking God to release finances by way of asking you to sow finances (we built the main church building with blocks of R500 - we can do it again).

"God's Pantry" is the easiest, simplest way to give. It's a big box at the entrance to the Main Auditorium (been there for ages) you can deposit food items.
Here is the Food List we require:
- Tinned Food is always welcome, the most popular are: Corn, Fish, Tomoato & Onion Mix, Fruit & Soups.
- Dry Goods such as Pasta, Rice and Maize
- Porridge (especially in Winter)
- Staples such as Tea, Coffee, Milk & Sugar
- Toilet Paper
- Cat and Dog Food (especially for recently unemployed who still have animals to care for)
WINTER BLANKET DRIVE
It's Winter time. And for some who do not have the means to keep warm will feel the cold icy grip of the season - and without the generosity of our newDAY community will not get warm.
Please deposit your blanket contributions in the box provided in the entrance hall.
Rehumele is a Charity Organisation we partner with that support amazing work regarding feeding schemes in Edenvale, Linbro Park and Tembisa. They also support a full-time social worker in our community. Hope House is also under their wings.

DAUGHTERS OF DIGNITY
Daughters of Dignity is a new initiative by the REAL Ladies Ministry of newDAY Church in Edenvale in response to a very real need in our immediate community: Young girls who do not have access to basic toiletry and feminine hygiene necessities such as toothpaste, soap, sanitary pads, deodorant... and if you have any idea how not having access to these items can affect the everyday functioning of a young growing girl, then you'll know how critical these seemingly little (and relatively inexpensive) items are.
